Joan Sova, Managing Broker, President and CEO of Son-Rise Property Management, Inc. was born and raised in Bellingham and as a life long resident, attended both Whatcom Community College and Western Washington University. She worked in property management for 11 years before opening Son-Rise on February 1st, 1996. Beginning with one home and one condominium association, today Son-Rise employs 11 individuals and manages over 2000 units made up of residential properties and community associations. Joan is a member of the national associations: Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM, and the Community Association Institute (CAI). As Owner and Managing Broker of Son-Rise, Joan focuses on client needs and requirements, while building appreciation in owner properties and their tenants’ environments. Joan also works hard to maintain quality working environment for Son-Rise employees enjoying a 20 year anniversary with the company as of February 1st, 2016. Joan is a member of Assumption Parish located in Bellingham and works very closely supporting the Hope House needs for those less fortunate. Joan enjoys horseback riding, horse training and hanging out with her children and grandchildren.
