Joan V. Sova - President and CEO

Joan has grown the company from one home and one condominium association in 1996 to building a team of 10 who manage nearly 2,000 homes, apartments, condominium associations and commercial properties. Joan is a Real Estate Broker,and amember of the Community Association Institute (CAI). A life-long resident of Bellingham, she attended both WWU and Whatcom Community College. Joan believes Son-Rise is the best because of: “Our staff’s determination to their work ethics and team efforts. They go the extra mile to meet the owner’s needs regarding property appreciation and tenant needs for their living environment. They also give personal attention and dedication to their job responsibilities. We currently have the greatest team ever in the history of Son-Rise!” Joan enjoys horseback riding, horse training and hanging out with her children and grandchildren.

 

Stephanie Lewis - Community Association Manager

Stephanie has been with Son-Rise since 2006 and thinks Son-Rise is the best because: The people are “trustworthy, have high moral standards, are ethical and caring!” She was born and raised in Bellingham and “loves this town!” Stephanie is currently working toward her Professional Community Association Manager Certification (PCAM) at the Community Associations Institute (CAI), the highest professional recognition given to Community Managers. Her personal interests include: spending time with family and friends, playing softball and watching NASCAR.

 

Chessa Summers - Community Association Assistant

Chessa moved to Bellingham in 2007 and joined the Son-Rise team in 2009. She believes Son-Rise is the best because all her co-workers are great and she loves to come to work every day. She enjoys reading, camping, kayaking, and spending quality time with her family and 2 dogs.

 

 

 

 

Iris Cruz - Community Association Bookkeeper and Accountant

iriscruzIris joined Son-Rise in 2008.She brings eighteen years of bookeeping experience with her.Iris has called Bellingham home since 1999 and thinks Son-Rise is the best because: “Everyone works well together to give the best of service to each and every client.”

 

 

  

Sandy Lindell - Property Manager and Leasing Agent

Sandy is a licensed Real Estate Agent has returning from Louisiana.  She had been a member of Son-Rise's team before.  

 

 

Kandis Lindgren - Property Manager and Leasing Agent

Kandis joined the Son-Rise team in 2007 after working with the Target Corporation for 13 years in management and administrative positions. She has an Associate in Art Degree from Diablo Valley College and a Diploma in Computer Applications and Accounting from Heald Business College in California. She believes Son-Rise is the best because: “Son-Rise has become like part of my family. I have learned so much in my time here and can't wait to learn more. It really has been the best learning experience I could ask for. I have the best boss ever and the best co-workers/friends I could ask for.” She enjoys reading, cooking, playing computer games, four-wheeling with her husband and spending time with her friends and family.

Wendy McLeod - Receptionist

Wendy joined the Son-Rise team in late 2009. She has work as a on-site property manager and bookkeeper for 14 years. Wendy believes Son-Rise is the best because: "Son-Rise works very hard to give steller customer service to all they service - owners and renters alike." On her personal time, she enjoys volunteering as a Friend of the Ferndale Library as well as hiking and camping with her family.

 

 

Rebecca Phelps - Receptionist
